Quick Roughness Layers is a free addon for Blender that significantly improves photorealism by permitting customers to feature roughness maps as, in my view, controlled layers to their materials. Accessible from the QRL panel below the Item section of the N-Panel, it consists of an UnTile node to save you texture repetition.

Amandeep – Quick Roughness Layers Features

RanTools (which includes P-Cutter Addon)

  • New HDRI Library: A complete library of HDRI pictures for enhanced lights and rendering.
  • Fast Cutter Mode for P-Cutter: Improved cutting speed for P-Cutter, optimizing workflow performance.
  • Better Cloth and Cable Simulations: Enhanced simulation abilities for more sensible fabric and cable animations.
  • Asset Browser Support for Material Library: Integration with Blender’s Asset Browser for less complicated fabric control and application.

Quick Roughness Layers (QRL) Addon

  • Layered Roughness Maps: Ability to add and manipulate roughness maps as layers on any object to beautify photorealism.
  • Individual Layer Control: Each roughness layer may be, in my view, adjusted for brightness and comparison.
  • Z-Masking: Option to limit the roughness effect to the top or backside of the item using Z-Masking.
  • Basic UnTile Node: Included node to randomize textures barely to avoid repetitive patterns, with plans for customizable UnTile nodes in destiny versions.
  • Easy Layer Management: Simple interface to add, control, and eliminate roughness layers immediately from the QRL panel in the N-Panel below the Item segment.
