With the Ripple Edit feature of After Effects, users can now take advantage of multiple editing tools in After Effects itself. It is crafted to give editors the same power they’ve gotten used to in Premiere while designing. It allows you to eliminate layers quickly, fill in spaces left by deleted layers, and quickly move in and out point layers.

• Editing on the fly: For example, if you make a shorter layer, this application automatically adjusts every layer after it. All of this is done without you having to spend extensive time readjusting the separate layers.
• In/Out point adjustment: It makes it possible to edit the In and Out point of layers that are not fixed and many more with increments such as one frame, ten frames, or even at the In/Out point.
• Gap management: With my editing style, the layering system has to be organized, and there should be no gaps between them. For this reason, I have designed two methods for gap management – Close Gap and Delete, which close any gaps made by merging or removing layers.
• Active time: This serves the purpose of shifting the point of a selected layer to the current point in the timeline and then accordingly adjusting the layers following it. It allows for a smoother editing workflow, increases productivity, and avoids the tiredness of standard editing.
